LeapMotion(Hand Tracking) does not work

It worked in Luppet Ver2.0.4, but not in Ver2.0.5.

Starting with Luppet Ver2.0.5, you need to install the latest LeapMotion software (Gemini) to achieve high-performance tracking.
Installation instructions are available at Setup and Usage - Software Setup. Please check it out.

This happens because the old (V4) LeapMotion software is not able to handle the Gemini-enabled LeapMotion libraries.

Hand tracking doesn’t work even though Gemini is installed.

There are several possible solutions.

  1. Reboot your PC.
  2. Unplug the LeapMotion USB and plug it back in.
  3. Check to see if Ultraleap Tracking is running in the Task Manager.
(If it is stopped, right-click on it and start it.)

LeapMotion is working but not sensitive

LeapMotion processes images taken from an infrared camera to estimate the shape of the hand.

  • Clean the LeapMotion surface.
  • Try again upside down.
  • Keep away from sources of infrared radiation.
  • Do not put your hands too close.
  • Do not put it on the floor. (Luppet is used with LeapMotion pointing from the neck to the front.)
    and so on.

In particular, many users find it difficult to use LeapMotion with a desk.
Please review the video of First page of the document for the correct usage.
